Denali National Park

Luggage out at 7 AM. We were on the bus by 9 AM to enjoy the three hour bus ride to Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge. We settled in before grabbing a quick bite at the Subway across the street. Then we were off on a tour of Denali at 1:30 PM...

We saw a Willow Ptarmigan, Alaska state bird, with its winter feathers and an arctic ground squirrel, preyed on by most other animals, posed for us. At a distance we saw Caribou in the Snow, Elk cooling off in Snow and Dall Sheep high up on the mountain. Up very close and near the Visitor Center, we saw a yearling moose abandoned by it's mother and a moose with two babies.

Back in town, Gene tried out another blonde look. We later enjoyed the Music of Denali Dinner Theater. Corny but entertaining.
