You should be able to find within these pages everything you need to register for the Far West Ski Association (FWSA) 80th annual Convention to be held in Ogden from June 7 - 10, 2012. The convention is located one block from Ogden's Historic 25th Street.

Keynote Speaker

Deedee Corridini, President of Women's Ski Jumping USA and former major of Salt Lake City, will be our keynote speaker at the Saturday, June 9, 2012 Awards Luncheon.

What's New

Individuals can submit their Registration Form and fees directly to the Convention Registrar, instead of the ski club collecting all checks and submitting one club check. The ski club will still need to submit their Delegate Credentials Form to the Convention Registrar.

Far West Film Fest

You are invited to preview three exciting ski films at the very first Far West Film Fest at the Peery's Egyptian Theater in Ogden, Utah on Sunday, June 10, 2012, 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. You’ll want to book a late flight home because you won’t want to miss this great opportunity.

How the West is ONE!

The theme of the convention, hosted by the Intermountain Ski Council, is How the West is ONE! So grab your hat and dust off your boots for a boot scootin’ good time out west in the historic ski town of Ogden. Saturday evening’s Awards Banquet will have a western theme with some good old rock ‘n roll music.

Important Dates

  • Before May 11, 2012 the Early Bird Registration Fee is $149 with our special hotel pricing guaranteed. May 11 is also the deadline for signing up for any of the convention Optional Activities.
  • After May 11, 2012 the Registration Fee will be $175.
  • After May 15, 2012 our hotel block will be released. We can not guarantee that you will be able to book a room after the room block has been released.
  • After May 25, 2012 the Registration Fee is $190.

Lodging

Lodging at our group rate (double occupancy) is available at either the Hampton Inn & Suites or Marriott Ogden. Per our contracts, we have NO RESORT FEES, PARKING IS COMPLIMENTARY and WI-Fi is FREE at either property.		 Click on image to download flyer.
