Criteria—
Descriptions for each of the ten awards for which you may be eligible to submit a nomination and vote is available HERE. For a more complete discription, just click on the name of the awards listed on the left. Please read the description and criteria for each award carefully.

Only FWRA officers, League Chairmen and past Terry Smith awardees are eligible to nominate or vote for the Terry Smith award. Unless, they have won an award, FWRA officers, League Chairmen and past Terry Smith awardees are not eligible to nominate for any of the other awards.

Only the Bill Berry and Warren Miller candidates can be self-nominated. Nominations for these awards are also solicited from writers and the media. Selected members of the awards committee will make the final determination for these awards.

Uncontested nominees must receive votes on two-thirds of the ballots received.

The awards committee is responsible to certify the eligibility and appropriateness of each nominee.

In the event of a winning tie in the balloting process, an award will be given to each of the nominees with the tying vote.

All citations, except for Bill Berry and Warren Miller, are limited to one page, 12 point font.

Nominations—
To make a nomination, send a citation with information detailing the candidate’s qualifications. Include address, email address, and phone number for you and your nominee. Only names will be listed on the citation used for voting purposes.

Please also include a good quality photograph of your nominee. Electronic transmission is preferred— jpg or tif are acceptable. If you send a paper photograph, it will be returned to you immediately after it has been scanned.

Electronic nominations & photos should be emailed to Catherine with “Far West Awards” in the subject. You will find an electronic Nomination Form in WORD or in PDF for your convenience.

If you are unable to submit a nomination electronically, citations should be typed, if at all possible, on a Nomination Form and sent to Catherine at 10818 Viacha Dr., San Diego, CA 92124.

Nominations Due—
All nominations, except the Bill Berry & Warren Miller Awards, will close on April 1, 2008. No exceptions. Nominations must be Catherine's hands by April 1, 2008. If you haven't received a confirmation of your submittal by this date, or have any questions, please contact her immediately.
