Currently the Director of Sales for Big Sky Resort, Brandon Bang started his career at Big Sky after receiving a double major in marketing and management from The University of North Dakota.

Brandon worked in the front desk, accounting, reservations and managerial roles before beginning his sales career at Big Sky as National Sales Manager in 1998. In 2008 Brandon was promoted to Director of Sales.

Brandon has been working in the ski industry for 20 years. Skiing, golf, great friends and the love of the mountain are the reasons he is a very happy long time local to Big Sky.

A long time supporter of the Far West Ski Association, under Brandon’s marketing leadership. Big Sky has been participating in the Silent Auction since 1992. Additionally, Big Sky hosted the wine at the 2007 convention and the continental breakfast at the 2008 convention.

This last January (2009), Far West Ski Associations Ski Week was held in Big Sky. The ski week was a first in Big Sky’s FWSA history. The ski week was a big success considering all the issues with the high fuel costs last summer followed with the economies downward spiral in the fall before our ski week. Brandon was instrumental in every aspect of the ski week’s success. Brandon’s intimate knowledge of the resort, positive attitude, big smile, hand shakes and hugs shows he is genuinely friendly to all who are around him. All aspects of the trip (lodging, skiing, racing, parties, food, etc.) were outstanding.

We have a tremendous amount of admiration and respect for Brandon Bang and are honored to nominate him. Like Bill Mackey, his love of the mountains and support of skiing is an inspiration to all of us.
